jeez- I just read the forum, maybe for the first time since the reunion. I've been missing a lot. Sorry all.
Dennis- All those trips to the little woodshed at Eleven Mile and Jefferson were probably unknown to most of my classmates. Somehow, we (you, me and my brother, Paul) seemed to have an affinity to trouble. What a hoot!
Len- PV is still on my horizon. We were down there three years ago and had a great time. Time permitting, we might get down there again this winter. If so, I'll let you know.
Sorry to hear about Dale. Seems like he got real reclusive several years ago. I know first-hand though, as many of you all do as well, how the "Big C" can change your life emotionally and physically. And then things like Bill S come along.
I started at South Lake when I lived first on Pleasant with my Grandparents during the War and then when we moved to our first house on Grand Lake- thanks to VA loans. Went to South Lake from kindergarten to fifth grade (with Ken Schmidt) then moved to Yale and transferred to the Lakeview District (as did Ken Schmidt). I liked Lakeview better- Mr. Lowe was a whole lot nicer than Coach Gleason (coach at South Lake).
Sorry for the silence. I will try to do better in keeping up with correspondence.
